The Spoon Theory

The Spoon Theory helps with Pacing which is really important for people with energy limiting conditions.

A healthy person will have more spoons to start with. This graphic suggests 12, but you may take a bit of time to work out exactly how many you should be starting with (this is just a guide).

It's important to remember that physical pacing & cognitive pacing are both important  - so watching TV is not resting and will require spoons!

If you're having a "good day" it's easy to use too many spoons because it may feel ok at the time - but you are likely to end up feeling delayed effects.
